Full to the brim of independent restaurants, pubs and shops. Reading Train Station and town centre is only a short walk over the bridge however Caversham has everything you could want for if you didn’t want to leave.
Why not pick up some delicious pastries from Warings or Ginger Perkins and take home to share with your housemates (or not share hahaha). Have a stroll around the gift and clothing shops, Nood Stores is perfect for a card or gift.
Have a leisurely brunch in the Alto Lounge or Geo Cafe or grab a cup of coffee in The Collective - Caversham has a lot to offer.
Lunchtime munchies time? There are so many places to go, Vegivores is amazing, or if you fancy a pub lunch and a pint head to The Griffin or why not try The Moderation.
In the evening Caversham has lots to offer too with Angel Bar transforming into a Cocktail bar – Coffee by day and Cocktails by night, or try The Last Crumb for some American Burgers and beers.
Caversham hosts its own Beer Festival and open cinema in the Summer and it would be remiss to not mention Reading Festival which comes to town every August. It has some lovely walks along the Thames and a short walk to the Lido for some pampering.
